As a young contemporary artist, music has been a big part of Micheal’s life. From an early age he’d sing in primary school choirs, and as a teenager he started playing a video game series called Guitar Hero. Most days he would come home from school and play until dark. He dabbled on bass for a bit but later bought himself a guitar instead, because it was easier to sing while playing guitar. He taught himself how to play from YouTube tutorial videos, heavily inspired by pop vocalists such as Ed Sheeran, Brendan Urie, and cover band Boyce Avenue to name a few.

In 2020 Micheal decided to make the courageous decision to take singing lessons at SOLE Academy, inspired by eaJ, one of the vocalists from a band called day6. He really enjoyed his time there, including some live performances. He is passionate about studying music further, so he enrolled in music arts at Ara.

During his time at Ara, Micheal has found more confidence to do performances outside of school, including going to open mics nights.

In the future Micheal would like to learn more about songwriting, and one day make his own music, while touring around the world busking and gigging.
