Thomas Thrasher

Multi-instrumentalist, fan of all things music.

Thomas Thrasher has been a part of the NZ music scene since he joined the thrash metal band ‘Excessium’ in 2012, who toured the all ages venues until they disbanded late 2013. Tom then joined the band ‘Decimated King’, who had been around for some time previously, but were undergoing personnel changes. Once things settled down, Decimated King began work on a completely revitalised sound and setlist, overhauling many of the old songs from the original EP from before Tom’s time in the group, and started playing more shows. Word ended up spreading to Timaru, Wellington, and Auckland, and before they knew it, they were booked for some of their first inter-city shows.

Since 2018, Decimated King have played with many international acts such as: Lich King, King Parrot, Aborted, and Thy Art is Murder, among others. They embarked on their first Australasian tour, playing dates in Melbourne, Sydney, and Christchurch. In early 2019, Tom left the band officially to pursue other goals. He remains on very good terms with all past bandmates, whom he still jams with.

He is currently between projects, and honing his skills in everything from music, to videography, to photography.
