Low-Fi Indie label based in Christchurch

Started by Lukas Mayo and Isaac Bennet in late 2015 the main idea behind this project was to give local musicians who play Low-Fi and “Bedroom” music somewhere to aim towards.

“We felt like, because of the music that we play that there was no outlet for us in Christchurch. so we decided to make our own”

Free Kittens Records releases all their albums on cassette tape and on their band camp site. All cassettes come with download codes for the digital release and local bands that do releases are featured on the Free Kittens Records Bandcamp page.

Free Kittens Records also has its own Graphic designer and producer, for bands who wish to just focus on their music. Or who just want some advice on what to do.
