David Stupples

David Stupples is an 19 year old guitarist currently studying towards a Bachelor of Music Arts majoring in jazz guitar at Ara Polytechnic, Christchurch.
He has extensive experience in arranging/composing as well as performing in a range of groups playing originals and covers to live audiences.
David's ever-growing knowledge and passion for playing both guitar and drums provides him with the unique skills to adapt to a range of styles.

As well as working toward his bachelor in music, David is an active member in local Christchurch student band RESPIRE. RESPIRE perform a mixture of originals and covers at various venues over a broad range of genres such as jazz, funk, blues, groove music and pop. RESPIRE has released their debut single on Spotify and iTunes.
His extensive experience in arranging/composing as well as performing makes him a versatile musician. From playing at weddings to pub gigs he has extensive knowledge.
Along with being experienced performing as part of a group, David has a background in performing solo. With the ability of using a looping pedal along with various guitar effects he is able to produce a very full and thick sound on his own.
